Custom software
The spreadsheet that got out of hand.
Before websites, Steadfast Code was custom software: internal tools, integrations, dashboards, and a few products of its own. If your business runs on a spreadsheet that has gotten out of hand, or two systems that refuse to talk to each other, that is work I do.
It is quoted by the project after a scoping call, usually as a fixed price with a stated scope, the same way the websites are. Small tools start in the low thousands; I will tell you quickly if what you want is bigger than that.
The kinds of thing I build
Internal tools
Job tracking, scheduling, inventory, approvals: the thing your team does in a spreadsheet and a group chat, turned into a small app that fits how you actually work.
Integrations
Your booking system talking to your accounting, your forms landing in your CRM, your invoices going out without retyping. Glue, done carefully.
Dashboards and reports
The numbers you want to see every Monday, pulled automatically and shown plainly.
AI assistants that stay on script
Chat and text assistants grounded only in your own information, that capture leads and answer questions without making things up. I run these for my own businesses.
Products of my own
Plumb
Offline-first project management for a solo contractor: estimates, job costing, photos and invoices, built for my own handyman business.
Tethered
Private location sharing for families: an Android app and a live map, self-hosted so your family’s locations stay on a server you control. Built for my own family first.
LeoAI
A friendly assistant for a small business or church website that learns your site and answers visitors’ questions, 24/7, in your voice.
Front Desk
An AI front desk for trades shops: missed-call text-back, a grounded text assistant, and lead capture that never loses a job.
Expiry Tracker
Shows who is current, expiring or lapsed on documents that renew: volunteer clearances for Pennsylvania churches, and subcontractors’ insurance certificates for general contractors.
Got a problem that software should solve?
Describe it in a paragraph. I'll tell you whether it is a week, a month, or a thing you should buy off the shelf instead.
